2009 has gone..2010 has come. 2009 was a beautiful year for me I’ll say. I was very lucky last year. I went to many places, acquired many new experiences, and moreover my photo album got a lot of photo that among my 40 GB hard disk of my PC only 4 GB is left. I need to buy a new hard disk for my PC now.
The real adventure of last year started on 12 February. I along with my family and others went to Madhobkundo, Moulovibazar on a tour. 700KM away from my hometown. 13 February we reached there and saw the Waterfall for the first time in my life. Next we visited many Tea gardens and also walked in the very big woods of Lawachara National Park. We returned at BKSP at my aunt’s house in Dhaka that night. Next morning 14 February we planned to visit amusement park Nandan. It was the Valentine’s Day and I came to see a lot of romantic scenes..haha..next day 15 February we went to Dhaka for the book fair. I had to delay the bus tickets for home because of the fair. I bought 15 books from the fair. It was a record. Because, the year before I bought 7 books only. It was small tour. But trekking at the hills of Madhobkundo was amazing.
Next month..March I had bigger adventure. 800KM away from hometown. It was through all the southern hill tract districts of Bangladesh. Our journey started on 5 March. On 6 March we reached Alutila, Khagrachori. There was a big mysterious cave. From there we went to Rangamati. There is a big lake called Kaptai. Fortunately we got our hotel beside the lake. And I could see the vast lake and hills at far from the balcony of my room!! That afternoon we travelled through the lake by trawler but couldn’t complete it because it’s so big and we went to see the Suvlong waterfall. When we were coming it became night…it was calm and quiet. Fishermen were catching fish by lighting candles on kerosene. Very charming. On 7 March we left for Bandarban. Saw Golden Temple of the Buddhists. That night we reached Cox’s Bazar. It was my second time tour to Cox’s Bazar. In 2008 I also went there. On 8 March at the early morning before sunrise we woke up and went to beach. It was amazing. We were in the sea for 3 hours. At afternoon we left for Himchori. There were big hills. On the other side there was also another waterfall. From there we went to Inani Beach and saw the sunset. At evening we went to fish market and burmiz market. As I’ve been to there before I was the leader then. None of my team had been there before. 8 March we started for St. Martin’s Island. I also have been there before. So it was another leading time for the leader. It was very nice at the St. Martin’s Island. We got into our cottage..took some rest..then got out in the beach. We were in the beach for almost 2 years. The difference I noticed that water of Cox’s Bazar is muddy..but here near the island water is clear. I could even see my legs underwater. AMAZING!! There were also some girls of IIU with us. They were shouting. Boys of our team tried to copy them including my uncle. There were shouting also..me TOO!! Afternoon and evening at the beach was excellent. Usually the island remains busy from 11am to 3pm. Then it becomes calm. We played some group games, I cycled at the whole beach, did some photography etc etc. We stayed there till 9pm. It was nice in the moonlit night. Especially I got a MURIWALA there who could speak different tribal languages. I was gossiping with him with some local boys. They were very friendly. I even remember that evening now also. That was the most amazing evening I ever had. By the way..I got some chances to use some high quality cameras while I was traveling. Whenever any tourist needed to take any photo of them they requested me because I also got 2 cameras in my hand while the journey. Whatever there was also some boys of DU with us in the cottage. I passed rest of the night with them by gossiping and singing. Next morning our destination was Chera Island. In the mean time we got a chance to see some video shooting there of an advertisement. It was also nice in that island. We went there by a trawler. But while it got some problem in the engine and we were stopped in the middle of the sea. WOW. But ladies and children were crying. Some gentlemen tried to stop them. But I doubt that they were also crying. Who knows. Fortunately another trawler of the students of CU (Chittagong) were crossing from there. They picked us with them. Thanks to Almighty..then we came back to Tekhnaf..went to Tekhnaf burmiz market and came back to Jessore next day. Good news..tourists can go to Myanmar without passport from Bangladesh. The cost isn’t so much. I wish I could go there also.
No more between this time. I was busy with my study. Next adventure was during the holidays in December. Actually not adventure. Just a tour. 5 districts, 352KM road, 12hour and 300+ photos taken. At first we went to KHULNA. Then BAGHEREHAT-GOPALGONJ-NORAIL-JESSORE. It was a family picnic only. Though it was funny. But next adventure was at the end of the month. I went to DHAKA all alone for the first time. Got a lot of new experiences there. Most funny experience was Mosquitoes were biting me inside the bus. Truly unexpected. I went Dhaka on 17th December just after the victory day. The whole city was covered with Green and Red BANGLADESHI NATIONAL FLAG. In Dhaka at first I went to International Book Fair. Bought some books from there. Went to ZAINUL GALLERY to a photography exhibition of BTEF. I met Sayed Bhai (Bangladesh Cycle Tourist). I was in dreams that time..so many photographers and travelers were present there. Sayed Bhai introduced me to Moon Bhai. He was also a photographer and traveler. Sayed Bhai took a photo of us with him. I also visited markets of Dhaka but did no shopping. Just tried to know the roads of Dhaka. I also went to Sonargaon and panam City which is known as the Ancient Capital Of Bangladesh. I passed two days with my uncle and aunt at their house at BKSP. My uncle is a hockey coach. That time a tournament of his team was going. So I got chance to learn how do the coaches train their students and lead team during a match. I also got chance to do some Sports Photography with my uncle’s cam. That was an awesome experience for me.
But the end of year wasn’t too funny. On 30th December my annual result published. Whatever I passed to next classJ And on this way my whole year passed. But I gathered so many new experiences this year. More than before. Traveled to many places, made new friends and a lot. Hope next year will be also like this……..
